Play, as it must, belongs to Macbeth,
and Arjun Raina does not let one
forget this for a minute.
He
stands head and shoulders above
the rest in his excellent controlled
grasp of spoken Shakespearean,
his understanding of character
and its powerful portrayal. The
movement from innocence to greed,
indifference to human life including
his ill spouse, and final end
as per destiny, when the Birnam
Woods move - a wondrously designed
motion of clumped stakes –
was a performance worth every
minute…
